Another perfect call

When people feel the need to defend Trump's call to Georgia, it's clear they haven't actually listened to it. Or else their reasoning has been badly compromised.

When Trump asks Georgia's governor and secretary of state to "find 11,780 votes" because that will give him one more than his opponent, that's just unabashed corruption.

But let's listen to the full one-hour call. Because, you know, maybe I'm taking it out of context. So what are his arguments?

Purely conspiracy theories and rumors from social media. Oh, sorry. "Trump media" as he makes sure to correct them. Yeah, I'm not nearly qualified to diagnose whatever that means.

And if someone on the call feels the need to point out to the President of the United States that just because he reads something on social media doesn't mean it's true... How is this guy the leader of the free world?

Then the threats. Thinly veiled and meant to scare. It reminded me of a movie mafia don explaining the consequences if they don't do what he says.

The acrobatics of twisted reason you have to employ to make this acceptable behavior is just absurd. Imagine if this had been a Democrat president. The fact that Trump is under no threat of impeachment over yet another blatant show of corruption is unfortunate evidence that this behavior has been normalized.
